André à Toto Savoie was perhaps the best-known Acadian fiddler of his generation. Born in 1941 and raised on the Acadian Peninsula in Northeast New Brunswick, he was beloved by many and an icon of fiddling. He was known throughout Canada for his powerful style of playing, lively performances, and huge repertoire of old traditional Acadian tunes as well as original compositions.

When he passed away in 2019, everyone paid homage to his humble nature and his wonderful talent as a fiddler. The main fiddle tune he's known for, "André à Toto," is played by Celtic musicians from around the world and is probably the most popular Acadian fiddle tune. He achieved all this without ever releasing an album to the public.

Now, for the first time, his tunes have been transcribed and notated, including his bowings, to bring his music back to its Acadian roots. This first tunebook includes a full biography of André sourced from interviews and family, plus photos of his life, and a CD of the book’s author, Devon Léger, playing each tune.
